Eamon Doyle, the organizer of the walk, said that he had “always loved zombies and they have done several walks around the world so I thought I will put my full brain into it and get it as big as possible because it just seems like zombies grab the attention of people.

To prepare people for the ghoulish looks, a team of make-up artists helped participants look their worst, according to the Independent.

Although the walkers looked terrifying, most had a fantastic time and had trouble maintaining the required deathly stare of a zombie. "Sometimes we had to remind people that if they were getting their picture taken, they should not smile because they are a zombie."

Tiny kitten saved from death on Irish highway - VIDEO

A defenseless black and white kitten was trapped on the side of the M50 motorway in Dublin, as the oncoming traffic sped past it at 100 kilometers an hour.

A rescue mission made its way to the south-bound lane opposite the exit for Dundrum at junction 13, moments after the kitten was spotted. The speed of the cars made the task of rescuing the four-month-old kitten almost impossible.

The Dublin SPCA sent off Lisa Kemp, an ambulance driver, to the site and she realized in just how much danger the petrified kitten was in.

“He was absolutely terrified. I couldn't get to him. The traffic was going too fast, I kept fearing he would run and be hit,” she said.

"I ran with the cat basket and just grabbed him and ran back," she said.

The kitten was taken to the SPCA center in Rathfarnham, and the staff has named it “Freeway.”

Irish dance - not for the faint of heart and here's the proof - PHOTOS

BEFORE
AFTER
An IrishCentral reader, Donna Barrington, sent us through some hilarious shots of her hardworking son's hard shoes. Her son, Owen, is currently touring with the "Riverdance" and lead dancer in the new PBS special "Beyond Celtic". As you can see from his shoes (left) he's hard at work.

His mother took a photo of his shoes before and after his his homemade "repair" job. She commented "It’s a great testimony to the wonders of gaffer tape."

The Irish spend 9.5 hours per week moaning

We may be known for our gift of the gab, having 'the craic' and telling stories but it seems that the Irish are top of the list when it comes to having a good moan too.

A new poll says that Irish people send 9.5 hours per week moaning which adds up to a massive 20 days a year.

And what exactly are they spending nearly three weeks of the year moaning about? It seems that weather has come out at number one. Incidentally the weather is also generally the favorite topic of conversation in Ireland.

Other topics top of their list are tiredness, traffic and work.

The poll, according to reports in Breaking News, found that only British people seem to moan more than the Irish.
