Talented Irishman Andrew Clancy took a huge bite out of the Big Apple and thankfully documented his year living in New York City.
Writing about this video he said “It’s a bit rough and ready but that’s life in the Big Apple I guess.”

Irish lads while away a summers day by rapping as cows - VIDEO
This video we just could not resist. What we have here is a group of Irish boys, wearing cow masks and rapping to, 1990s boyband, Five's "If you're getting down baby". What could be more normal than that?As the creators, Master Massey and Shyhhy Welly, say on their Vimeo account "This was quite an easy and fun one to do: Dutch Gold, sun, cow masks and a camera; what could possibly go wrong?"
Well at least that explains a lot, Dutch Gold was it?

Talk like a real life Leprechaun - new iPhone app for kids - VIDEO
The new iPhone app "Talking Woody the Leprechaun" may be for kids but you can be sure that adults will be getting Woody to repeat phrases like "Where's me Lucky Charms".
Just like a digital talking parrot Woody's app allows you to record a phrase and have Woody repeat the phrase back to you in an every so 'begorrah, bejaysus' accent.
Woody's described as a "digital hooligan" that "will repeat anything users say, react to their touch, and even grant users a pot of gold should they wish for it!"

"If users talk to Woody he'll repeat whatever they say in his signature high pitched voice. If they poke him with their finger Woody will react, often offering different responses depending on how users touch him. Tickle him and he'll burst out laughing, but hit him a little too hard and Woody won't be nearly so enthusiastic. Users can even have Woody say their favorite movie quotes or grant them gold with a single click"

Miracle kitten survived five-day journey trapped in a dumpster
A two-week-old kitten survived a five-day, 166-mile trip from Ireland to northern England trapped in a dumpster full of cardboard.
The tiny tabby tomcat was found among 200 tons of old cardboard at a recycling firm in Reddish, near Manchester, after being buried in a 40-foot sealed container that was shipped across the Irish Sea from Dublin.
Recycling worker John Creek, who found the animal, christened it Finley because of its Irish connections.

He told the Manchester Evening News, "I was using a forklift when I saw something moving. When I looked inside, there were two kittens -- one was dead, but the other one was this ball of ginger fur. It was barely alive."
He added, "It's absolutely amazing it survived the journey from Dublin to Stockport."
Finley is now being nursed back to health by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

In modern Ireland people still enjoy a good old fashioned duck race – VIDEO
No, this isn’t extra footage from “Father Ted” this is the uniquely Irish duck race.On Sunday afternoon at the Castlemaine vintage town fair, County Kerry locals turned out to enthusiastically support the “2011 Castlemaine World Championship Duck Race”.
Although the winning race participant was hard to track down it seems that duck number 44 was first to make it across the line / get into the goal at the local field.
The best duck won.
